Face Of the Day

Built in 1967, the world’s only flying saucer launching pad is in St. Paul, Alberta, Canada.

Welcoming weary interstellar travelers with open arms, the town of St. Paul, Alberta, Canada, commemorated the Canadian centennial in 1967 by shaping 130 tons of cement into a landing pad for flying saucers.

While it has never been used for its intended purpose, the pad (now accompanied by an adjacent UFO Interpretive Center) has drawn plenty of tourists and even hosted a UFO conference in 2000.
